Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet, dedicated to my beloved Maine Coon! I decided to create this website because my Maine Coons have become such an integral part of my life, and I wanted to share my journey, experiences, and love for these incredible creatures with others who appreciate them as much as I do. Let me tell you my story, and how these incredible cats have filled my life with joy, love, and, yes, a few tears along the way.

A Heartfelt Beginning: Nev James 🐾

My journey with Maine Coons began in 2011 after a painful chapter in my life—my parents passed away. During this tough time, I was blessed to welcome a cat into my life who would become my constant companion and comfort: Nev James. Nev was a ginger and white tabby, and though he wasn't a full Maine Coon, he had a gentle and charismatic personality that made him unforgettable.

Nev James was the first to greet visitors when they came through the door. His warmth and friendliness were unmatched. He welcomed every newcomer and quickly made them feel at home. He also formed close bonds with my other six domestic cats, acting as a big brother and protector. Nev looked after them like a true family member and even loved water—he was often in the bath with me, playfully splashing around.

Unfortunately, Nev James passed away in October 2019, after being diagnosed with kidney failure. His passing broke my heart, and it still brings a pang of sadness to this day. He was my first true Maine Coon experience, and I knew I would never forget him.

The Next Chapter: A Full Maine Coon Family

After Nev, I was sure I wanted to have a full Maine Coon. So, in July 2023, I welcomed not just one but TWO beautiful Maine Coons into my life—a brother and sister duo. I named them Phoenix Borealis and Sapphire Aurora, and they quickly became the heart of my home.

But the Maine Coon journey didn't stop there! In November of the same year, I received an advanced Christmas gift from a very dear friend: another ginger and white Maine Coon. We initially thought he was a boy and named him Gilbert Brigs. However, when I took him to the vet for his check-up, the vet gave me a curious look and asked, "Are you sure it’s a boy?" It turns out Gilbert was actually a girl! After some thinking, I renamed her Gilberté Brigs, and she’s been a joy ever since.

More Fur Babies: Pickle, Chester, and Sue-Bella

In the following year, I received a very special gift: a 4-month-old fluffy tabby Maine Coon named Pickle. Pickle is the half-brother of Phoenix and Sapphire and has brought even more love and charm to my household... Oh! Chaos, too!

Later that year, I also welcomed Chester, a stunning ginger and white tabby Maine Coon with official GCCF registration. He has a calm yet playful demeanor that has won me over completely.

And the family grew even more with the arrival of Sue-Bella, a cream-colored Maine Coon mix. Sue-Bella was named after my mother, Sue, and my grandmother, Isabela. A DNA test revealed that Sue-Bella is a mix of Maine Coon (70%), American Domestic (26%), Ragdoll (12%), and Persian (2%). Despite this mix, she is a perfectly healthy kitten and has inherited none of the hereditary diseases that might affect other breeds.

Why I Love Maine Coons So Much

To make a long story short, my Maine Coon family has brought so much love and laughter into my life. Their personalities are as varied as their fur coats, but they all share one thing: an endless amount of love.

I am beyond grateful to have them in my life. Every Maine Coon I’ve had the pleasure of knowing has been a unique gift, and I can't imagine life without them. For me, cats aren’t just pets—they are family. Each one of my cats, has brought something special into my life, from the comforting presence of Nev James, who was with me through some of my darkest times, to my five domestic boys, to the lively energy of Phoenix, Sapphire, and the rest of my feline family. Maine Coons are known for their affectionate and playful personalities, and I’ve been lucky enough to experience their warmth and companionship firsthand.
